Childcare Needs:
We are looking for someone to help our very hectic schedule. Both children play a lot of sports and are on travel hockey and lacrosse teams. Our older daughter is traveling all over the country for hockey! There will be times we perhaps may need an overnight during the weekend due to sports travel if we need to be with a child and perhaps sometimes babysitting.! We would need help driving (we do also have a car) them to and from post school activities (they are in 8th and 6th grade at Latin!) many of which are in the suburbs. Also light housekeeping as we would do ourselves, making their beds when our housekeeper isn’t there and if I haven’t been able to, their laundry, any organization,
Packing and unpacking from trips and sometimes helping me with any errands. We do have a housekeeper who comes 3 times per week and does their sheets etc!
Also may need pick up from school sometimes which is at 315/320 but usually I will pick up. My husband has a busy travel schedule for work so we can’t always count on him for driving help!
The Ideal Nanny:
Someone in her 20’s who is energetic organized (I like to keep the girls rooms organized and tidy etc!) and who has good computer skills if we ever need help with projects for school photos etc! Also someone who has an interest in sports as it has is such a huge part of our daily life and most importantly likes dogs as we have two very friendly yellow Labradors who like their cuddles and attention (the sitter would not need to do anything with the dogs except be used to them being needy!!).
Housekeeping Expectations:
Children’s laundry
Unload dishwasher if needs to be
Tidy up kids room/organize them/seasonal updates (all with me!)
Possibly getting dinner ready but will be rare
Additional Family Information and Considerations
Compensation Details:
We will pay minimum of 25 per week even if there are some weeks they work less! There will be some weeks they could get up to 30 if the days go later or need a night for babysitting etc. .
Sick days or PTO:
We will pay for sick days and days when we are in vacation. Latin has a lot of vacation (2 weeks at Xmas and spring break and many days inbetween!) so ideally the sitter would take vacation during those times and we would pay her as we are on vacation.
